Alexander Keith's makes a stop in Bonaire. Everyone starting taking picture of it!!!
It was almost 9am and they made the rest of us have a beer!!
Can you guess who is sleeping behind David!!
Everybody was up early to catch the water taxi to Kline Bonaire. We were off the ship amongst the first to get off. We take enough stuff with us to last most people 3 days and we were only going for 4 hours. 3 backpacks, 2 hand bags and 2 cooler bags full of ice and beer. We walked down the road to catch the water taxi (BTW it is only 26* at 7:30am) only to find out it doesn't start till 10. Walked a little farther to the next one and same thing. So we walked all the way back to our ship (some stomped – sweat dripping from their chins – not our fault they wanted all that beer and ice) to get a taxi as they were all down there. Found a nice guy with a van to take us to Eden Beach for the day and it turned out to be a wonderful day.
Bonaire is all reef so snorkelling is about the best in the Caribbean. To slippery and too much coral for Linda to swim but the rest of us snorkelled on and off for 4 hours. Roger didn't snorkel but he got wet. There were tons of fish and the water was nice and refreshing. Temperature was over 36* and we loved every minute of it. Few injuries today – David and Barb both got cut by the coral trying to get in and out of the water. Barb also sat on a piece of fire coral and had to get someone from the dive shop to look at it to make sure it didn't require medical attention.
Our cab driver picked us up at 1 as requested and back to the ship we went. We left Bonaire and head to Grenada. We arrived there at 12:00 noon. We are taking a water taxi over to Grand Anse beach. I expect the getting in and Hout of the water taxi will be the big events today!!!!
Arlene & Roger want some more "alone time" so they are headed off to a Island Tour with Mandoo!
