Antigua - All Inclusive Resort for the day!

In Antigua we took a pre-arranged trip to the Grand Pineappple All-Inclusive resort. The guys wanted to make sure we got our $$'s worth.

1st stop was this place called Devil's Bridge. If you jump in here you are not coming back up alive. Very pretty but very rocky with strong waves.

Right after we arrived the activities director wanted us to take part in a balloon tossing game with our spouse's. We had to stand across from one another but then we had to keep taking steps away. In the end if was down to 2 couples... me and Kevin and some young couple from the bronks of NY. Kevin had to throw with his back to me.. he throws it straight up in the air.
Needless to say I didn't catch it but the other couple didn't either. It fell by my feet so I kicked it in the water..... and when she went after it... I accidently pushed her. Now they all think I'm a bully!!!

It was a nice beach and they were nice enough to give us a large trat so only one person had to go to the bar to get a couple for each one.

It was a good day and we made it back to the ship on time. Only mishap was I left my ID and $$ on the bus. Kevin had to run around and find someone who knew the phone # for our bus driver and ask him to come back. He found it and brought it back.

1st Sea Day

We were on the ship by noon and after dropping our carry-on off to the room we head out to the buffet for lunch. Back to the room and our luggage has arrived including the "booze bag". Got everything put away and now we are all settled in for the next 10 days of sunshine.

At 4:30 we went to the obligatory life boat drill....serious stuff! Hard to keep David from blowing the whistle but once we reminded him of the hundreds and hundreds of people that blew the whistle before him.... he reluctantly put it away.

Picture around the pool deck at the back of the ship. This is were we had a Cruise Critic get together after the muster drill. Great to meet everyone I have been talking with online for the last 11 months. Some people we had met on the last cruise so it's great to see familiar faces as well.

First sunrise we almost missed. Kinda slept in .. perhaps due to the early morning the day before. Only issue we have with our balcony is that our neighbors smoke cigars and the smell is awful.

We had our meet and greet with Cruise Critic up in Skywalkers lounge. Gift exchange as well. It was alot of fun even though many people who said they would attend didn't. It was not that warm out so I thought there would be a good turnout. After that we spent the afternoon at the pool and watching a Barry Manilow concert on the outside movie screen. David complained and complained..... couldn't wait for it to get over.......... careful what ya wish for. Lucien Pavaratie (sp) came up next. lol... off to bed.. more tomorrow.

We are here!!!!

We all arrived in Fort Lauderdale. Had a great supper last night at the Outback.. 18 of us in total.

You would think we would have learned by now .. not to trust David as being the time keeper. This morning we were all up and showered by 8:00 am.. .... hurry were running late he said...... turns out it was only 5:30... obviously nobody has changed the clock radio in the hotel room for quite some time. Down to breakfast by 6...... and walking down to see the ships (while it's still dark) and go to Walgreens.

We are now waiting to get the shuttle to the ship (having a beer).
