St. Thomas – today we were up early and off to the beach. We went to Emerald Beach just a short distance by cab from the pier. Another glorious day at a beautiful beach. David is still shaking his head about last night. He is convinced that everyone was standing in front of him and he wanted to stand up and yell to them to sit down. We told him there was absolutely no one standing in front of him. He still swears there was. He doesn’t know why he couldn’t stop laughing or what he was laughing about. Arlene said the hypnotist said that once everyone was under when he counted to 3 they would awake and they just heard the funniest joke they had ever heard. As time goes on the joke will get funnier and funnier. That is why he was laughing.
I think the doubting Thomas’ – Kevin and David, know now that it is not just a staged act as they thought in the past. In fact we suggested to David that we go so he could actually see the show tonight and he said “no way”.
Last night before supper we were playing music and singing and dancing on our patio’s. Had a great time. Our side of the ship was clapping and having a great time. Maritime deck party. A lot of the people around us are Canadian’s as well.
The ship is really rocking and rolling tonight. Possibility of some cookies being tossed tonight.
Kim – your parents put down a deposit on a future cruise.
It is 7:38 and we are all ready for bed I think. This getting up everyday at 6:00am is starting to catch up with us all.
Tomorrow is a sea day so we are going to veg by the pool.

I am going to try and upload the video of us taking David to the Hypnotist after the show to get him un-done.

David just before he was hypnotized between Roger and Linda.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED TONIGHT

We went to the hypnotist show. He does a little test with the audience and both Linda and David passed. We tried to convince one of them to go up and volunteer but they wouldn't. The guy got his volunteers and the show begun. He has a series of things he does to get them under. I looked at David and he was doing them. I told Linda he is going under and she said "NO". Next thing he starts laughing - hysterically - and can't stop. We were way at the back and they HYP could not see us. There was another lady in the audience that he saw was laughing uncontrollable and he went to her and told her to shout out when he said something. David did stop laughing but then he just sat there as if in a trance. We watched the show and he still just sat there. When it was over Linda said I think we should take David to him to make sure that he is out of it. I said we will see when we get outside the Theatre as he told all them when they got outside they would start laughing. Sure enough when we got outside he went into hysterics again. Kept telling us he doesn't know why he is laughing - crying laughing. We took him to the hypnotist and he said why didn't we let him know during the show. He put David in front of him - crowd of peps around - David say to him "Boy your some funny looking" (The guy was extremely handsome). David turns around and looks at the crowd and says to him again - your some funny looking - and laughs and laughs. Anyway he took David out of the trance. Arlene has some video.

I am wetting myself laughing just thinking about it. anyway mmore tomorrow. Nite.

St. Thomas tomorrow.

ANTIGUA WAS GREAT....

Arlene is letting this man rub aloe vera all over her and then he wanted $15. She would only give him $5 so he wanted her bottle of water that was half gone.

David trying to grow a mohawk.

We took a public bus to the beach. Had to walk about a half mile to the bus depot. It was not hard to do - guys found the cooler full of beer, backpacks, snorkel gear and stuff a little heavy. Not to mention trying to get it all onto the bus along with all the locals.
Great day though. Bus trip coming back was alot more fun. Cooler was empty and everyone seemed happier. We invited some of the locals to come to NS and we would teach them to make snowmen.

ANTIGUA IS CLOUDY AND OMG.... WE HAD A HAIL STORM.

So when you are given lemons.. you make lemonade. So we sent Kevin and David to gather the hail stones and we were able to keep our beer cold.

Horseback Riding in Barbados

Wow… what a great day. We were all supposed to sleep in this morning as we didn’t have to meet our tour until 8:45. We were all up by 6:30. Some not as bright eyed and busy tailed as others. Had breakfast and then went to meet our driver to take us out to the east side of the island for our ride – Atlantic Ocean side. My god it was hot – those poor horses. Unfortunately – or luckily for us there were no pictures of the mount-ups. We had a great ride thru the countryside and down to the beach. It was a two hour ride and most agreed it was a bit too long.. butt blisters, numb bum, knees that would not work and stiff backs were just some of the comments after the ride.
As the official tour guide I have just been issued a directive to ensure that tomorrow involves only a beach chair and drinks. Nothing too strenuous. They have to nurse their sore muscles and aches… Linda says sore BODY. I don’t think she has a part that doesn’t hurt.
Keep the comments coming. Feels good to be in touch even if we don’t care what the weather is like… we want to know that our money was well spent.
Kim – Roger and Arlene decided that AI or Cruising is totally like comparing oranges and apple. They are not the same. They like them both. That could be good news for you!!!!!
Jackie – Linda’s back is f**ked. But she’s a trooper. It will be better after a few drinks.
Wendi – your father is so much better once he hears from you. I think the first couple of days he is in Wendi Withdrawal. BTW – we do have video’s of the ziplining – take too long to upload. Also… your mother wants to know if you are showing Max & Sophia the pictures on the blog.
Starr – Little too much heat for Arlene.. she is fine today as you will see in the pictures. In fact she is here sitting beside me dictating her thoughts having yet another beer.

Forgot to say – DAVID – surprise surprise, had the only horse that almost got the whole group bucking. Pretty hard to stay in a line but not let one another’s horse sniff the other one’s arse. All this while keeping a tight rein, feet in stirrups (men aren’t used to that – eh girls) and watching the scenery. But all in all a great day.
Roger & Arlene thanks for the mom updates. Keep us posted.

Who is more tired.. Linda or the horse. Nite to all from all of us. Looking forward to beach tomorrow.

Just a quick post.. for now.. another pop quiz.

Lots of ships in port today so we are going to watch the sailaway. I think we are #2 to go of the 5 in port. Great day horseback riding. Will post pictures later. For now just some pics of the other ships and of Kevin and David writing up their log books.

Arlene, Roger and Linda all had an afternoon nap. We were back to the ship by 1:30. Kevin and I went up to sun and swim. David said he was vegging on the deck.

Anyway we are all out now for sailaway.

So the QUIZ IS:

CAN ANYONE GUESS WHAT THIS IS?
Later everyone. Come sailaway with me.

Where is everyone....

We got up early (6:00am) to see all the comments and there were none. Well we are off to our 7 course breakfast..... again. They won't even let us do the dishes. Ahhhh it's rough. BTW - how is the shovelling going....

Anthony & Chantal... how is our grandpuppy. Miss you guys. Anthony don't know about the rum but we will see. Dan - hope all is well with you - miss yyou too. Hugs to all of you.

Anne - hi to you and anyone else reading the blog. We are having a blast.

Little sore today. Arms are sore from trying to stop spinning and then trying to brake before smashing into the platform for the next zip. Only hit once - so I have a sore leg. Poor Maverick... he took the brunt of most of my hits. Hate to see him today.

later gator.... they are all rushing me. They must be hungry... havent eaten in a couple of hours.

AND THE ANSWER IS.........

Well we had a great laugh at your guesses. I don’t think anyone got it right. To start with David loved it. Can’t wait to go back and made it all the way. Mind you he did have a few drinks of rum into him. Wendi was almost right… Linda was the quitter – she could not make it up the last bunch of stairs for the last 3 zip lines. Kevin and Roger Dodger were like old pros (as was David) and zipped thru all the lines. Barb made it thru all the zip lines spinning like a top and Alrene passed out. We think it may have been a little heat stroke. Once she had a rest and some water and they removed the helmet and hairnet she felt much better and was able to get back to the start on her own steam. Being the tropper Linda she would not see her go back alone so she decided not to once she was told the steps and incline to the last 3 zips.

The boys all thought there harnesses were too loose until the guide assured them they may still need their private parts. They all agreed to keep them loose.

After the zip line we went to the beach (we were all pretty hot) to lay in the sun and swim in the snow oooops… I mean water. Wish you were here…..lol David says YUK YUK YUK

We will not be checking email so just keep posting on the blog. We are all reading it so try not to be too personal.

Hi Max, Sophia, Wendi & Brian. Doing great. Kiss Kiss, hug hug miss you. Still suffering. A little chafed from the harness thanks goodness I didn’t get them to tighten it.Horseback riding in Barbados tomorrow. Will report when we get back. Lot of video’s of the zip lines for when we get back.

Roger and Arlene want a report on both of their mothers. Could someone please just write a little note.
We are off to bed. Linda was long gone but the rest are going now. Big day again tomorrow.
