WHAT A NIGHT!!! ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL MEETING AT THE MELANSON'S

We were greeted by Roger and Arlene. I think you can tell that Roger is really getting excited. We didn't know what to expect but it was great to have the place decked out like we were in the caribbean.
It is hard to believe that we only have 20 more days!!
After we all got our coats off and into the kitchen we all had to drink some concocktion from the loving cup.... (really a trifle bowl). It was very good though.

Then it was on to the meeting and then we could play. Trying it put pictures into this blog is not as easy as one may think. It is really starting to frustrate me.

Starr - I know you are reading this. Great idea you had - putting the beer in the snow to keep cold. Please explain how this will work on the cruise ship in the Caribbean!!!!! Picture to follow when I get it from Roger.
We finally got a group shot. It was so much fun trying to get the picture in the 10 seconds that the camera allows.

It took some doing.. but here it is.

Not too much to report..

22 MORE DAYS!

Well the time is flying by. Everybody must have the suitcases out by now. Meeting this Friday, Roger has a Dr's appointment (ahhhem) this Monday in Amherst. Linda has one in Halifax on Monday as well. We will have to get David drunk as a skunk to get him in that plane at 6am if there continues to be plane crashes. Lets hope the geese wait another week or so before they decide to come back.

I went to the eye doctor today and will have new glasses for the cruise. He guarantees I will be able to see out of them.

We're tanning tanning tanning. It sure makes you feel good to relax and pretend you ar on a beach.

24 MORE DAYS .........

Well today we woke to more of the white stuff. Besides the heavy wet snow... Arlene and Roger had no power, Linda didn't have to go to work (Isn't that a shame) and poor Kevin had to do the driveway in order to get out to work. What makes it worse .. more snow is forcast.

So is it any wonder that we want to get out of here and get to somewhere there is no more frozen white stuff.

Linda and Arlene .. so glad you agree with the blog for the cruise. Arlene .. I will get a better picture... be careful what you wish for.... remember the one on PEI... when something broke!!!

So instead of the frozen white stuff.... lets think about the white sands of the Caribbean going between our toes and lots of other places too.

"Cheers" meeting this Friday night at the Melanson's. Should be a good time as we are all getting super excited.

Let me introduce the group.

Let me introduce you to the cast of caracters:

First we have David - the worry wart. Don't let that laid back smiling face fool ya. He is afraid to fly, afraid of heights, afraid to leave his house unless it's locked up like Fort Knox. Well on this cruise we will have him flying to Ft Lauderdale, Zip Lining (80 ft above the rainforest) in St. Lucia and who knows what else. Don't worry Dave.. we won't let anything happen to ya.

Next we have Kevin. Now he doesn't act up very often but when he does... look out. He likes to keep all the money and then disappear. When your at a giant flea market in the Carribbean and you have all the money and your wife want to shop.... you could be in trouble. Kevin is game for most anything and loves the attention of getting up on stage to help out the entertainment.

Next we have Linda.

She is always tieeeeeed. We have to keep pushing her. But she is a trooper. We have dragged her through many a trail, up rivers and back to see a spectacular 3ft waterfall. It's because of her we have the 3 amigos. She kept going to bed and that left David, Kevin and I to explore the ship on our own. We are going to try and keep her up later on this cruise.

Next is me..Barb. I am never wrong (it's the Perkins in me) and I never get mad at Kevin. I will be doing the blogging so it will be from my point of view.

This is our 6th cruise for the 4 of us... but this year... we have 2 new cruiser who will be joining us.

They are Roger and Arlene Melanson.

This is Arlene. She is not really pregnant. This is the only
picture of her I have on this computer and since I am just learning to blog .. it will have to do. Don't laugh Roger... yours will be just as good. They are a good addition to the "cheers" group and seem to fit in pretty good. We have alot of laughs and alot of fun. AS you can see they are better at the theme parties then we are. Very good at making costumes.

Next we have Roger... He is on the right... Also in the pic is Kevin, Linda, Santa Dave & Arlene. I will get a better picture of Arlene and Roger as soon as I can and post it here. So that is our group this year. Should be fun and now the countdown is on.

My First Attempt at Blogging

As today is Feb 22/09 I am a little early but I have to try and figure this out.

I am going to try to do a blog so that on our upcoming cruise with our "Cheers" friends I can post everyday and let people know how we are doing.

Our cruise will be March 20th to 30th, 2009 onboard the Emerald Princess with Linda & David and Arlene & Roger. We fly to Ft Lauderdale on the 19th, Roger and Arlene fly the 18th and then we all will board on the 20th.
